Rene Barraza, Senior Accountant

Rene Barraza is an experienced accounting professional with broad experience supporting private companies and nonprofit organizations across the retail, manufacturing, property management, and nonprofit sectors. He earned both a Master’s in Accountancy and Data Analytics and a B.S. in Accountancy from Arizona State University.

Rene has held key roles including Assistant Controller and has led financial reporting, process improvement initiatives, ERP system implementation, and audit engagements for nonprofit clients. He works heavily in the nonprofit space, with experience in complex grant reporting, restricted contributions, revenue recognition, and financial statement preparation.

He is CPA eligible and actively working toward licensure, and he is passionate about continuous learning and growth, both as an individual and as a professional. Outside of work, Rene enjoys traveling, rock climbing, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
